A lot of people highly enjoy BBC’s ‘Sherlock’ because of the obvious UST between the two male leads. We ship them because gay men are hot. If I wanted to ship a man and a woman I would choose another franchise to obsess over. Making John into a woman does not increase said UST, it just makes you stupid.
